Videowaste is a Chicago visual arts collective specializing in CRT video walls, projection mapping, and immersive live visuals. Rooted in the city’s creative community, our work is built on a sustainable practice of rescuing and restoring vintage video gear otherwise bound for landfills.

We provide full-service production. From concept and design to build, installation, execution, and tear-down. Making it easy to bring unique visual art to festivals, galleries, weddings and corporate events. By blending analog CRT aesthetics with modern digital video, Videowaste creates unforgettable experiences that set Chicago events apart.

Installations

Videowaste creates immersive video installations in Chicago using restored CRT televisions, projection mapping, and interactive visual art. Each installation transforms spaces into living canvases, blending vintage video textures with modern design for unforgettable gallery shows, festivals, and events.

VIDEO PRODUCTION

Music videos, performance films and branded content, directed, shot and edited in-house. We build in-camera effects with our vintage CRTs, video synths and feedback rigs, capturing real analog texture on set instead of faking it in post. From concept and set design to the final edit, Videowaste gives Chicago artists a look that can't be downloaded as a preset.
